i took a load of photos of one side of a street, shot after shot and moving down the street to get a head on view rather than like a panorama where the shot is taken from one point. Ive put it on my website so it makes you scroll through to look at the image. I'm looking at different ways to show media on the internet by writing html files and using webpages as the platform for viewing them.

A day of technical hitches on my pictures;

In this animation I was hoping to "tween" frames together but was not successful in obtaining that effect. Looks like I might have to hand draw some frames but it is dissapointing Photoshop won't make the transitions more seemless (other than with fades).

An experiment in using filters to give stripes effect in water ripples. I supposed the blue duck and ducklings might resemble stars. I wanted to invert before adding colour in the blue area but was not able.

Collaging

knowledge is key

Using the same image in photoshop, I used multipule adjustments for example I used, the Brightness/Contrast, Black & White, Curves, Photo Filter, Invert and Posterize adjustments to create the effects shown in the images above.

Using a photograph I took on my phone, I used Photoshop to play around with different effects using the Invert and Curves adjustments to create the above images.

Quiet Breathing

This short animation was to re-create the breathing effect of the alleyway during my studio assessment. It was almost like the space was living and breathing, yet still empty and quiet.

The layering of time

Once again focus on studio part B to bring more about the layering.
Shadows of object itself are showing different lightness of layers through the light.
Also the repetition of each image to express the changes of time.

A boat PERSON

This simple video depicts myself on site with my sail installation. It was important for me to place myself under the sail and try to imagine, if only for a moment, the anxiety and fear that asylum seekers face on the dangerous journeys they are forced to endure.

Below are the two draft sketches of the characters then their final ideas.

Fantasy of Gold

Carbon Footprint

More animals from the site

Located on my site is a 24hr Pho restaurant and a bell tower from the Loreto Convent. I created images mixing the two and playing with the stereotype of nuns from graceful, passive and "good" to aggressive, loud and misbehaving.

Please Do Not Touchy

But i want to.....

Museum Adventures

For my site project i spent a lot of my time looking around the Museum's in Northbridge. Collecting ideas for how i was going to present my art work.
I ended up deciding to replicating similar blue labels in my projects as the ones in the imagine above.
Never knew my sneakers were 3,450 million years old
MINERALS! minerals! i MINEraAlsssssss!

Pixel Pancho Inspired

Did this little drawing in my spare time displaying Pixel Pancho's mural figure to the left hand corner (as seen on Museum St.) My little rabbit friend, and myself (wasn't meant to be me but i gave her Nikes and long hair ...so now it's me) Not quite sure what's going on in this picture but it was fun to draw never the less.

No Smoking, No Parking

I tried to be comical by Photoshopping a cigarette and a car within these two spaces in defiance to signage also placed there.
Funnily enough i've seen someone park there car there to pick up someone and i occasionally see students from Tafe smoking right next to the no smoking sign... it was beautiful.

Afghan Express aka (The Ghan)

Here I have done some more researcher trying to find out if their are more stories about the camel trains in Australia that relates to my site. And I did. This one here is The Ghan where I have added the old photos of the camel drivers in the background, the next layer is the 'Ghan' train that is brightly coloured, the fourth layer is the 2 like tramp stamps of the 'Ghan' logo on the corners then lastly in the middle is the map of the trail where the camelers once took.
The Camel train takes you through to Adelaide, Pimba, Tarcoola, Manguri, Kulgera, Alice Springs and Darwin.

In the English-speaking world the term "camel train" often applies to Australia, notably the service that once connected a railhead at Oodnadatta in South Australia to Alice Springs in the center of the continent. The service ended when the train line was extended to Alice Springs in 1929; that train is called "The Ghan", a shortened version of "Afghan Express", and its logo is camel and rider, in honor of the "Afghan cameleers" who pioneered the route.

For this image here, I have added the old photo effect with old coffee stains and  made them black instead of their original colour was brown also gave them a bit of depth with the black line that surrounds the stain and disintegrates in the middle turning into grey. Also I messed around with the brightness, contrast of the image.
